In May 1944, a group of French soldiers and resistance fighters are registered in the British Special Operations Executive commando group under the command of Louise Desfontaines and her brother Pierre. Your mission, the rescue of a British army geologist caught explorations on the beaches of Normandy, and a German SS colonel who close out of the imminent secret of D-Day is to kill, proves to be emotional and brutal. While many films and television has made over the years of war seems to be a very one-sided affair, and focused on things from a very male point of view, very few of the roles that women had played treated. From that point on, the film thanks to the story (the truth) is based, the acting (universally brilliant) and the cinematography (breathtaking) grip like a vice, and will not let go until the credits roll. Challenging and at times brutal, it shows very real and have been through the people and what they sacrificed to overthrow the evil Nazi regime. It shows us one time, although we do not want to remember, we should never forget, and this film is a good example of the heroic work performed by individuals that finally secured our freedom as a whole. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
