Plot Concept: Set in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro and the lush rain forest of Brazil, the comedy-adventure centers on Blu, a rare macaw, who he thinks is the last of its kind. When Blu discovered there is another – and she is a she – he leaves the comfort of his cage in a small town Minnesota and heads to Rio. But it is far from love at first sight between the domestic and flight-challenged TV and the fiercely independent, high-flying females, Jewel. Unexpectedly thrown together, they embark on an adventure of a lifetime, where they learn about friendship, love, courage and openness to life the many wonders. “Rio” brings together a menagerie of vibrant characters, a heart-warming story, colorful scenes, energy and contemporary Latin music, and family-friendly song and dance.
